We recently donated more of our waste material to local high school St Andrews and St Brides in East Kilbride.
Off cuts such as perspex, copper and PVC which we would be reluctant to send to landfill are gathered by our production team, then donated to the school’s technical department.
This is becoming a regular event to try to keep a pipeline of materials, which would be otherwise difficult to afford due to tight budget restraints, available to the school. The resource is invaluable for inspiring the students, allowing them to be more creative with the variety of materials available for their projects.
Technical teacher, Tony Craig tells us that students make ‘great use of all the materials donated and that they are able to be more flamboyant in their designs unrestricted by the materials on offer.’
Special thanks goes to Paul Chawner for organising collection and delivery to the school.
