Foodbank Collection

With the cost of living continuing to rise, people are depending on foodbanks to put food on the table for their families now more than ever. However foodbanks are also experiencing a decline in contributions with donors also being affected by the crisis and therefore not able to afford to give as much as before.

We’re always happy to support local charities and throughout the month of January, we organised a collection of much needed items for local food banks, Loaves and Fishes in East Kilbride and St Vincent’s Centre, Southend, near our Basildon site.

Lesley Davidson, Chair and Co-Ordinator at Loaves and Fishes said, “we have over 40 volunteers who help support 150 households with food packages every week. The dynamic of the people depending on foodbanks has changed over the last few years and they come from all walks of life. Any help we can get is so gratefully received”
