Wanting to give back to their fans, Chelsea Football Club came to us with a question: how do we improve our fan experience around the stadium and educate our visitors about everything available during their visit?
The aim was to ensure that the signage was not only functional but that the branding properly matched the Chelsea FC look and feel. The addition of Chelsea FC logos and the use of standard club colours across the variety of signage within the package achieved this.
To meet their needs we designed, manufactured, installed, and continue to maintain several 55 and 65-inch outdoor display screens complete with bespoke Chelsea FC branding. Given their positioning in the grounds, the structures needed to be fully weatherproof and sealed properly from the elements. 3,000 nit commercial panels were used throughout the site to draw maximum attention to the screens, whilst providing enough brightness to be seen at any time of day.
At the top of the totems, we installed the Chelsea FC logo with custom LED back lighting. The free-standing and wall-mounted housings were built to the highest quality, with the totems anchored down by a steel base and dropped into place to ensure no movement and that they were robust and safe.
An important consideration for the new totems and screens was the technical support required both on game days and non-game days. For this, we created a two-level remote support system. During match days, Chelsea FC has a two-hour support window should any issues with content or screens arise, and we also proactively check signals and content on the morning of every match day. For non-match days, next day support is provided to resolve any issues. As part of the maintenance plan, we periodically check and clean the screens onsite to ensure top performance.
