Creating a truly cohesive environment such as Tesco’s new General Merchandise area is most successful when finishes can be consistently reproduced across a wide range of elements.
Woodtex, Merson Group’s coated extrusion system, was the only range of profiles that could fulfill such a wide brief from a single range, all with an identical textured wood-print finish. From ceiling rafts, both lit and non-lit, to signage surrounds, bulkhead cladding, merchandising architecture right down to POS elements. Rarely has such a diverse range of items been designed, manufactured and installed by a single contractor.
Aside from the obvious aesthetic benefits, the ability to build the elements off-site either completely or in quick-to-assemble modules, meant site installation was quick, clean and straightforward. This resulted in minimising cost and customer disruption.
